Expanded Perlite is a product obtained by heating raw perlite at a temperature of about 850 to 1100 degrees Celsius. In this process, the water trapped inside the rock evaporates, causing the perlite to expand several times in volume. The result is white, extremely lightweight particles with a porous, cellular structure.
Applications:
- Agriculture and greenhouses (soil improvement and growing media)
- Construction (lightweight blocks, fire-resistant plaster, and mortar)
- Food and chemical industries (filtration and liquid purification)
- Filler and insulation for various applications
